Sculpting your face with a dark and a light shade of powder is easier than you might think, at least if you have the right products.

So I was rather delighted to find that Maybelline Cosmetics came out with the Master Sculpt Contouring Kit, retailing around 9,00€ (in Germany) in most Drugstores across the country. I quickly went ahead and tested it for you.
As a reference, my skin is very fair and my contouring powder of choice for the last couple of months has been W7's Honululu Bronzer (Amazon affiliate Link), which I do highly recommend.
For this review I tested Maybellines Master Sculpt in the shade 01 light/medium. A darker shade is available as well.
The packaging is solid and the product comes with two powders: a dark one for contouring and a shimmery light one for highlighting. The package also includes a mirror and a flat brush, which I found a little too harsh on my skin, even though I liked the shape of the brush.
When swatching the powders on my arm, I thought the dark shade way too yellow for my skintone, but was surprised how well it blended into my skin when applying it to my face. The pigmentation is not very strong, which I think is brilliant for beginners! You can play around with the product and build it up until you are satisfied with the result. I have to say, I like this product quite a lot!
The highlighting powder on the other hand is not my cup of tea. It contains some visible golden sparkles, but does not have much of an effect otherwise.
Another thing I noticed about the Maybelline Master Sculpt is the smell of the product. It smells... well... fishy. Luckily I cannot smell it anymore as soon as I apply the powders, but I have to say this is something that does put my off quite a bit.
If you are a contouring beginner or are looking for a drugstore alternative for high end contouring powders, I think it is worth checking out the Maybelline Master Sculpt, but please make sure you smell the product tester first to see if it is something you can live with.

Einen guten Kontur Puder in der Drogerie zu finden ist ja bekanntlich eine kleine Herausforderung und gerade für diejenigen von uns, die eher zu - nennen wir es mal charmant - vornehmer Blässe neigen, meist ein Ding der Unmöglichkeit
Umso erfreuter war ich, als ich die Möglichkeit bekam, das neue Maybelline Master Sculpt für euch zu testen.
Den Master Skulpt gibt es in zwei Nuancen: 01 light/medium und 02 medium/dark. Mein Testprodukt kam in der helleren Nuance.
Die Verpackung macht einen sehr stabilen Eindruck und beeinhaltet eine zweite Ebene mit einem Spiegel und einem Fach für einen Pinsel. Letzterer ist mit persönlich zu kratzig, obwohl mir die Form gut gefällt.
Der Kontur Puder (dunkle Seite):
Beim ersten swatchen auf dem Arm war ich eher skeptisch, da mir der Kontur Puder zu gelbstichig vorkam. Bei der Anwendung im Gesicht hat er sich aber wirklich ausgezeichnet verblenden lassen und hat sich wunderbar in meinen Hautton eingefügt. Der Ton ist angenehm aschig und der Puder ist matt und eher dezent pigmentiert, sodass man keine Sorge haben muss, schnell zu viel Farbe auf dem Gesicht zu haben. Er läßt sich gut aufbauen, ohne fleckig zu wirken und hat eine lange Tragedauer. Ich bin wirklich postitiv überrascht!
Der Highlighter (helle Seite):
Auch der Highlighter ist recht unauffällig, was mir in diesem Fall aber überhaupt nicht gefällt. Man muss schon mehrmals mit dem Pinsel über das Gesicht fahren, um überhaupt einen nennbaren Effekt zu erzielen und das ist einfach nichts für mich, da ich dann meist zu viel vom zuvor aufgetragenen Blush wieder wegnehme. Für Highlighter-Minimalisten ist er aber sicher geignet. Für das Swatch Photo habe ich ihn sehr stark geschichtet, damit er sichtbar wurde.
Ein großes Manko ist für mich der Geruch der beiden Puder. Ich kann es nicht anders als "irgendwie fischig" bezeichnen. Für mich alles andere als angenehm. Zum Glück verfliegt der Geruch sehr schnell und ich kann ihn nur beim Auftragen selbst wahrnehmen.
Alles in allem kann ich euch empfehlen, euch den Maybelline Sculpt mal anzuschauen, wenn ihr auf der Suche nach einem Kontur Puder aus der Drogerie seit. Riecht aber bitte vorher unbedingt mal am Tester, ob ihr mit dem Geruch klar kommt.
